The MP for Dudley North has praised our expert team and state-of-the-art facilities his West Midlands’ constituency.

Conservative MP Marco Longhi visited Blacks Vets’ flagship Dudley animal hospital to meet our talented team and enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour, which has invested almost £100,000 on further improving its first-class facilities this year.

The MP said he was incredibly impressed with the dedication and diligence of the Blacks Vets team and the cutting-edge equipment.

Marco said: “It was really fascinating to visit Blacks’ newly-renovated hospital and understand how a specialist veterinary hospital works, along with the comprehensive range of treatments available.

“I was particularly keen to hear from the team about how they successfully navigated the Covid pandemic and to learn about the wide array of medical equipment that is available to diagnose and treat animals in the region, much of which wouldn’t be out of place in a human hospital.

“It was certainly very enjoyable and informative to get behind the scenes and meet all the patient care assistants, nurses, vets and specialists and it’s clear my constituents’ pets are in safe hands.”

Our group practice manager, Sarah Lewis said it was a pleasure to welcome Mr Longhi to the hospital, which is one of the group’s five practices across the West Midlands.

She said: “We were pleased Marco wanted to come and visit us to see firsthand the care we provide for people’s pets, not just locally but also across the region.

“Dudley is our flagship branch and an RCVS accredited veterinary hospital, so this was a great opportunity to show our MP the great things we can do for our patients.

“We have invested significantly this year across our group and among the facilities we can offer is a CT scanner, ultrasound machine, electrocardiograph equipment, digital X-ray machines and an in-house laboratory for biochemistry and haematology tests.

“There’s also a suite of operating theatres and the latest surgical equipment to deliver a wide range of soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures and surgeries.

“Everyone at Blacks Vets is very proud of the hospital and our facilities. The investment, which totals almost £100,000 across the group, is a sign of our ongoing commitment to make sure our practices provide a warm welcome and a safe place for any pets in need of care.

“We’re all delighted Marco showed such a keen interest in the specialist care we have on offer and we agreed that we both have a common interest in giving the best possible service we can to the people of Dudley.”
