We offer referral services to our own clients and clients from neighbouring practices in the area at our Dudley Hospital. The Dudley Hospital is headed up by our Clinical Director Brian Hogan. Brian has always been a gifted surgeon and in 2008 received his Certificate in Surgery, equivalent to a Consultant in human medicine. It allows him to accept referrals from other practices and together with Ian Orr we can offer advanced surgery for spinal problems or fractures and specialist techniques for conditions like ruptured cruciate ligaments where there is a much quicker and better recovery than the older methods. In charge of our Cardiology service in Dudley is Girish Thakral who has a Certificate in Cardiology. Like Brian he takes referrals from other practices and works wonders on pets that have been struggling with chest problems. Girish operates our “state of the art” ultrasound scanner and powerful X Ray machine and where lesser mortals would be unsure Girish can always find the right diagnosis!
Operations
Our clinics are fully equipped with modern facilities to provide comprehensive treatment. Routine surgery is carried out on weekdays and animals are usually admitted at the beginning of the day and sent home in the afternoon or early evening. Some patients may need to be hospitalised overnight after major surgery for their safety and comfort.
