BVG is pleased to offer our healthy pet club scheme as a cost effective way of providing for your pets preventative health care requirements. It offers discounted vaccination, flea and worming treatment, neutering and microchipping. Please contact our clinic for a detailed brochure.
Emergencies
At BVG we know there is no such thing as an average day. So whenever you need us you will find us ready to help. Some practices provide out of hours cover through separate night clinics often not local to your usual surgery. Our out of ours cover is provided by our own staff at our Dudley Surgery ensuring continuity of care as long as your pet requires treatment. For daytime emergencies please contact your closest branch.
Pet passports
These can be provided for cats and dogs. The process is complex requiring among other things vaccination against rabies, microchiping and blood tests. The whole process can take several months and varies depending on which countries you will visit/pass through. If you are thinking of travelling abroad with your pet contact DEFRA for advice on specific countries.
Microchipping
A safe and permanent way of identifying your pet. It can be done during a routine consultation (cost £21.50) or at the time of a surgical procedure such a neutering (cost £15.00). It is very common for injured cats and dogs that have not managed to make their way home to be brought to the surgery by good Samaritans and unless they are microchipped it can be very difficult to reunite them with their owners who are undoubtedly very upset to have lost them.
