Simon joined BVG in 1984 and became a partner along with Ian in 1989. He particularly enjoys the management side of running the practice and working with cats. His hobbies are DIY and looking after the family pets which include cats, dogs and horses.

Blacks Vet Group: Brian Hogan

Brian Hogan

Brian graduated from Dublin in 1993 where he spent an additional year working as a staff surgeon teaching the next crop of vets. He is the group’s Clinical Director. Not only is he an excellent vet with a kind and sympathetic manner, he is a great mentor to younger vets and nurses. Brian has always been a gifted surgeon and in 2008 received his Certificate in Surgery, equivalent to a Consultant in human medicine. Along with Ian, Brian deals with many of the more complex soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures. Brian became a junior partner in July 2000 and is a huge asset to the team at BVG.
